　　the allegro acs37800 power monitoring ic greatly simplifiesthe addition ofpower monitoring to many ac or dc poweredsystems. the sensor may be powered from the same supplyas the system mcu, eliminating the need for multiple powersupplies. the device construction includes a copper conductionpath that generates a magnetic field proportional to appliedcurrent. the magnetic field is sensed differentially to rejecterrors introduced by common mode fields.allegro hall-effect-based, galvanically isolated current sensingtechnology achieves reinforced isolation ratings in a small pcbfootprint. these features enable isolated current sensing withoutexpensive rogowski coils, oversized current transformers.isolated operational amplifiers, or the power loss of shuntresistors.
